About the event
European Writers Salon and Insurgent Press are partnering again to host a special literary salon in honour of Dalloway Day. Come with us to the heart of Bloomsbury, where we will hear from a host of readers engaging with Mrs Dalloway and Woolf more widely.
Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, published in 1925, is set on a single Wednesday in mid-June 1923, following Clarissa Dalloway as she prepares for a party while reflecting on life, memory, and post-war London. The novel is now, in tribute to Woolf, often celebrated with "Dalloway Day" events in June.
We will ask our readers to write something new or read something they've already written that engages with the text and its themes in some way, or thinks more widely about Woolf herself. This can be poetry, life writing, prose, anything at all. We are open and intrigued.
We will also have our usual friendly…
