About the event
Some writers use colour as symbol. Some as structure. Others never name it at all, but still saturate the page. Between these approaches lies a spectrum: from colour as label, to colour as language, to colour as sensation.
How do we evoke colour without naming it? How do we move beyond the obvious into something more atmospheric, more sensorial, more precise? Join tutor Ali McKenzie-Murdoch and a friendly group of writers to explore and write.
Through guided brainstorming and writing exercises, we'll explore how colour can be expressed through association, moving from the familiar to the strange, building rich, unexpected palettes of meaning.
